Data Protection

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Therefore we process your
data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (DSGVO [GDPR], TKG [Telecommunications Act] 2003). In
this privacy policy we inform you about the most important aspects of
data processing within the context of our website.

Contacting us

If you contact us using the form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored for six months in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

Data storage

We would like to point out that the VEF stores the order data for the purpose of simplifying the ordering process and for processing the contract at a later date.
The data provided by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the contract with you. No data will be transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of travel data to Wiener Linien, whose network we use to fulfil the contract.
In the event of concluding a contract, all data from the contractual relationship are stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years). Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 (1) letter a (Consent) and/or letter b (necessary for fulfilment of the contract) of the DSGVO.

Cookies

Our website makes use of so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device through the browser. They do not cause any harm.
We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser when you next visit us.
If you do not want this to happen, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about cookie settings and you can therefore only allow them in individual cases.
Deactivating the use of cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Web analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the person responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, then the Google Analytics data will be undertaken by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, which are text files stored on the computer of the person visiting the site, to help the website analyse how the site is used. The information generated by the cookie regarding use of this website by the visitor to the site (including the shortened IP address) are usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there.

Google Analytics is used exclusively with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” on this website. This extension ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes direct personal references. The extension will shorten Google’s IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional circumstances will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, and shortened there. The IP address sent from the corresponding browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

On behalf of the operators of this site, Google uses the resulting information to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide additional services related to website and Internet usage to the site operators (Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO). The justified interest in the data processing lies in the optimisation of this website, the analysis of the use of the website and the adaptation of the contents. The interests of users are adequately protected by means of pseudonymisation.

Google LLC. is certified according to the so-called Privacy Shield and guarantees an appropriate level of data protection on this basis. The data sent and linked with cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 50 months. The deletion of data, the retention period of which has been reached, is done automatically once a month.

It is possible to prevent Google Analytics from collecting this by adjusting the cookie settings for this website. The collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies can also be objected to at any time with effect for the future. The corresponding browser plug-in can be downloaded from the following link and installed: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information on the use of data by Google, settings and objection options can be found in Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in the settings for how Google displays advertising (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).
We have concluded a corresponding contract with the provider for order data processing.

Your rights

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection regarding your data stored with us. If you believe that the processing of your data violates the data protection law or your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can contact us at info@vef.at or you can contact the data protection authority about it.
